In order to study effectively for Repeat Sentence (referred as RS below), you have to be clear of its score criteria.

When first encountering this question, most people will try their best to repeat the sentence as fully as possible, and this will often require thinking while repeating, hence resulting in many pauses. Answering like this will probably give you a high score on content, but an awefully low score on fluency. Additionally, among the three scoring components of this question, content actually has the lowest score allocated. One RS question has 13 marks, consisting 5 marks of pronunication, 5 marks of fluency and only 3 marks of content.

Therefore, when preparing for this question, the emphasis should be put on prounciation and fluency. Only when you are able to repeat the sentence fluently and with correct pronunciation, you shall then try to improve the length of content that you can repeat.
